Callie Justice is a traumatized little girl, the sole survivor of a house fire that has taken the lives of her entire family. She finds a new family, only to become a victim, yet again, of neglect and abuse.
As a young adult, Callie breaks the bonds of her confusing childhood, only to find that the physical and emotional scars remain. Just as she ventures into newfound friendships and finally falls in love with the gorgeous and sweet Doctor Jake Lamb, the past creeps in again, wiping out her chance at happiness.
With as many highs as there are heartbreaking lows, Callie of the White Sand is a testament to the indomitable human spirit and the insurmountable power of true love.
CALLIE OF THE WHITE SAND is available in December of 2008 from CMP Publishing, LLC.

(Author's Insight on Callie of the White Sand:
After I finished and CMP Publishing, LLC published Painted Rocks, I began to receive quite a few demands for a sequel. Callie is not a sequel to Painted Rocks, however two of the beloved characters from Painted Rocks are featured in this story--Callie Justice and Leah Foster Westfield.
Callie's story intrigued me, even as I told of her briefly in Painted Rocks and I knew that, if given the opportunity, her story would formulate into a sweet novel. I'm ecstatic about the results.
Happy reading! ----Kimberly Ann Freel )
